The Perfect Getaway
The Little House on the River is nestled at the base of the western slope of the Cumberland Mountains in the scenic Rocky River Community of Van Buren County. Situated in the heart of Middle Tennessee and centrally located between Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville, it is located 2.8 miles off Hwy. 30 -- 15 miles east of McMinnville and 15 miles west of Spencer.
This cozy little house was completed in October 2008. It was built primarily for family use, but is also available as a rental. It is situated on over five acres, has 640 square feet of living space and 384 square feet of porches. You won’t be able to resist sitting in the swing or in one of the rockers as you watch the river wash your cares away. There are almost 1400 feet of river frontage on the property. A walk along the river or the driveway that runs parallel to it is a must. You may see otters, beavers, chipmunks, squirrels, a variety of birds, wood ducks, and the neighbor’s cows across the river. The river is stocked with trout several times a year at the bridge at the end of the property.
